Does this work on 7600.16385 ? if you need the dll and exes i can give them to you the 64 bit version

The theme will work, but I have to modify the dll and exes yes.
btw, is it .16385 and not .16384? because I'm also running 7600 x64, so if we have the same builds I can upload my exes straight away

nevermind my previous msg. figured out the save box was due to experimenting with disabling themes in Firefox. my bad:P

just noticed something else, the save dialog box have turned into the xp style traditional style dialog instead of the vista/win7 style dialog box. This is in firefox. word 2007 seems to be unaffected. Could it be that i'm running 64bit and have to replace the other explorer.exes (in \syswow64 & \wow64) as well? Didnt see any instructions for those.

@papakin81
thanks for the restorator suggestion. totally forgot about that super app. Found what I need to edit.

DjabyTown, got a question and 2 suggestions.
Where can I find the font's boldness setting? You have a neutral.rc, but that is not in the original aero theme file. My fonts are too bold on the higher dpi setting.

Any chance u could bring color gleams back into the taskbar. Having trouble noticing the flashing alerts from out of focus widows. eg. when I get a msg on msn when I'm working on another window, it would flash orange a few times, now I can only see a slight color change in gray, which is hardly noticeable.

Can you change the color of the dividers in explorer to something more subtle? I find the strong contrast a bit distracting when navigating. I Sort want a lightroom feel. If its too much trouble, what is the right resource to edit for those?

Thanks for the awesome theme!

I tested it on chrome and iron and both work good - so firefox is culprit, hope it gets sorted out since this is the browser i and 80 percent of people i know use.

Any chance you could mod it for the larger dpi?

If not can you tell me roughly where (the resources) to edit so I can upscale your icons for the higher dpi. I haven't touched styling for a long time so I'm a bit rusty. Is it doable with reshacker (I don't have Ave's styler)

Hi. Is it possible to update the theme to be compatible with higher DPI? I'm using Medium 125% DPI and the start button, explorer buttons and checkboxes are not styled. When switched back to default, they work again.

I'm assuming its something in explorerframe.dll, but cant seem to find it.

yeah it's because the style doesn't support your selected dpi. I've only made a version for the normal dpi [100%]. Sorry about that.

the explorerframe.dll only contains the navigation buttons, seen in the explorer

hm, did you try a customized ff skin? i think then these problems are gone.
About the searchbox in the start menu, it is intended that it is not visible. But however you can type when you open the startmenu and it will search...

This doesn't work in RTM build 7264.

I can send you the x64 files if you like!

OK, OK - I believe you! LOL!

I think what happened is that UxTheme patchers tend to miss themeui.dll on later builds.

I'll patch that manually and try again.

I use 'Universal Theme Patcher,' but your question prompted me to look for an updated version - and I found one!

This version patches all three files:
